“You’re not just a mom, you’re a warrior - a warrior momma.”
Mateo David Cardona was born on May 26, 2019, at 07:07 AM weighing 1 lb. 3 oz. and measuring 11.5 inches. His due date was September 19, 2019, but our little boy could not wait that long and made his appearance in this world at 23 weeks and 3 days gestation. The day he was born was the scariest and happiest day of my life because my prayers had been answered, I had a living baby boy, but I knew the chances of his survival were minimal and the thought of losing him hurt my soul. In his 11 days of life, my baby went through much more than I have in my lifetime and at no moment did he show the desire to stop fighting to stay with us. Our Mateo helped us grow a lot and gave us a lot of joy from the moment we found out that his heart was beating inside my belly until we told him that mommy and daddy were letting him rest and he let his little heart stop beating. Our Mission
Tiny Warriors Foundation is here to guide NICU families in their journeys by celebrating NICU graduations and honoring NICU angel babies who have made their transitions to heaven.

Jacob Alexander Garcia was born April 17, 2019, at 2:47am weighing 1 lb. 6oz. I was admitted into the hospital a week prior to my delivery because I was having contractions and had bleeding. This began our 103-day journey. One day he was okay and the next day he is going into emergency surgery. It was the hardest thing to go through the high and lows. Through this journey, I learned that you are your child’s best advocate. Jacob is now three years old. Our vision
Tiny Warriors Foundation is a support system of strength, hope, and love for NICU families. While being in the NICU can feel lonely, yet with Tiny Warriors you are never alone. We are here to provide support and hope for your family throughout and after your stay in the hospital. We are available to support and help NICU families in every stage no matter the circumstance. We know you’re going through one of life's most difficult moments because we’ve been there. You can read our story about how we met in the NICU here. Our foundation was created to shine some light for NICU families throughout these difficult moments by creating hope and celebrating life.
