The Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies

The NICU journey is difficult. At the beginning of our journey, I was unsure of where to start. In reading blogs, I came across this book as a recommendation. Since we were looking for answers and/pr guidance of what to expect from this journey, we decided to purchase this book. This book gave us the direction we needed to get a sense of what was to come. From the moment your child is admitted into the NICU, there are terms thrown your way that make you feel lost and confused. This book was able to assist me when I had a doubt about a procedure Jacob was about to undergo or simply to gain more information regarding this journey. It was not easy not understanding how serious or not serious things are, so this book was able to put things in perspective and calms most fears. It was also useful in having certain conversations with the doctors and nurses. I would highly recommend this book as a guide, and it may help ask additional questions or help understand what the doctors say.
